Barbie The Movie: In Concert - Hollywood Bowl (July 27, 2024)



Movie nights are some of the most popular events at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl, from the annual John Williams: Maestro of the Movies to the perennial favorite The Sound of Music Sing-Along on September 21. Featuring live accompaniment by the LA Phil, the Bowl's 2024 movie screenings include Singin' in the Rain (Aug. 27) and the Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience (Aug. 30-31).

On Saturday, July 27, dance the night away with the Barbie Land™ Sinfonietta as Barbie The Movie: In Concert comes to the Hollywood Bowl! The record-shattering, full-length feature film will be accompanied live by an all-women, majority women-of-color orchestra renowned for their musical skill and style. The Barbie Land Sinfonietta is conducted by Tony Award-winner Macy Schmidt. Barbie® fans of all ages are invited to celebrate the music of the film in a one-of-a-kind immersive experience!

Street Food Cinema



Featuring a wide range of films, gourmet food trucks and live music, Street Food Cinema presents Saturday night screenings at outdoor locations from Los Angeles State Historic Park to The Autry Museum, Griffith Park, Will Rogers State Historic Park and more.

Upcoming screenings at The Autry include National Treasure (July 6), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (July 13), Garden State (July 20), Back to the Future Part III (July 27), Mad Max Fury Road (Aug. 3), The Mummy (Aug. 10), Super Troopers (Aug. 17), Spider-Man 2 (Aug. 24) and 10 Things I Hate About You (Aug. 31).

On June 29, D23 and SFC are teaming up to present a special 60th anniversary screening of Mary Poppins at the famous Griffith Park Carousel, renowned as one of Walt Disney's original inspirations for Disneyland. The Merry-Go-Round has been closed to the public for years, but for one night only fans will be able to get up-close and take pics!

The Hollywood Roosevelt



Tropicana Movie Nights returns to the landmark Hollywood Roosevelt. Screening at the famed David Hockney pool, the series showcases different themes each month. Swimming is encouraged!

August features "Los Angeles" movies: Almost Famous (Aug. 1), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Aug. 8), Boyz n' the Hood (Aug. 15), Swingers (Aug. 22) and La La Land (Aug. 29). September "Musicals" include Purple Rain (Sep. 5), Grease Sing-Along (Sep. 12), Cabaret (Sep. 19) and Chicago (Sep. 26).

Located in North Hollywood just minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood, The Garland mixes a vintage SoCal vibe with 21st century chic. The hotel was originally opened by actress Beverly Garland, best known for her role as Fred MacMurray's wife on the final three seasons of My Three Sons.

Located in Marina del Rey, Jamaica Bay Inn is hosting Outdoor Movie Night, a FREE outdoor movie series taking place on their beachfront lawn every Sunday. Upcoming screenings include The Little Mermaid (June 23) and Space Jam (June 30).

Seating starts at 7pm and is first-come, first-served. The movie starts at dusk. Low chairs, blankets and pillows are welcome. High camping style chairs are not allowed. $4 off half-bottle red or white wine; picnic pack and full menu will be available for purchase. RSVP at Eventbrite.
