Día de los Muertos - Hollywood Forever (Nov. 1)
Hollywood Forever’s Día de los Muertos celebration returns on Saturday, November 1. This year’s event will feature three different admission times. The afternoon event (1:30pm-3:30pm) will feature altar viewings, plus DJs and Aztec dancers. For the evening crowd (4:30pm-9pm), there will also be a screening of Coco and a drone show. The late night crowd (9:30pm - 1:30am) will also get a Coco screening, but without the drone show.


My Favorite Murder Live - Pasadena Civic Auditorium (Oct. 28)
Murderinos, you’ll have two chances to catch My Favorite Murder live on Tuesday, October 28, when the popular true crime podcast’s tour stops at Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Tickets are running low for the 7pm early show, so you might have a better chance with 9:30pm. VIP packages are available.

Cathode Cinema: Murder Drone - 2220 Arts + Archives (Oct. 29)
Archival film screening series Cathode Cinema presents Murder Drone on Wednesday, October 29 at 2220 Arts + Archives. The one-night-only event is a double-feature of French DIY 1980s slasher flicks shot on Super 8 including Folies Meurtrières (Killing Spree) and Ogroff: The Mad Mutilator. This is an 18+ event.

"Get Out" - The Ford (Oct. 30)
Street Food Cinema and The Ford team up for a special outdoor screening of Jordan Peele’s acclaimed horror film, Get Out, on Thursday, October 30. Gates open 90 minutes before the 8pm show.

"Nosferatu" with Live Score - Philosophical Research Society (Oct. 30)
7th House, the film screening arm of Philosophical Research Society, is celebrating a silver screen classic all October with Eternal Darkness: A Century of Nosferatu. The series culminates with a special screening of F.W. Murnau’s seminal silent vampire film on Halloween Eve accompanied by an original score performed live by Circuit des Yeux.

"Night of the Living Dead" - The Ford (Oct. 31)
Street Food Cinema and The Ford co-present a Halloween screening of the classic zombie film Night of the Living Dead on Friday, October 31. The movie starts at 8pm, gates open 90 minutes prior.

Scream Halloween Party - Hollywood Forever (Oct. 31)
Cinespia will make you Scream this Halloween when they screen the beloved Wes Craven film at Hollywood Forever on Friday, October 31. In addition to the 1996 horror fan favorite film, there will be a costume contest, candy, DJ and dance floor, plus a photobooth. Tickets are going fast, so get yours before the evening sells out! Gates at 5:30pm, the party starts at 7:15pm.

Downtown Día de los Muertos - Gloria Molina Grand Park (Nov. 2)
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Downtown Día de los Muertos celebration comes to a close on Sunday, November 2 with the Noche de los Muertos celebration. Lupita Infante and Boleros with Attitude will perform as guests view the community altars and participate in activities like lantern-making and face painting.

Robby Krieger: A 60th Anniversary Doors Celebration - Greek Theatre (Oct. 30)
Legendary guitarist Robby Krieger has assembled an all-star lineup to celebrate The Doors 60th anniversary at the Greek Theatre on Thursday, October 30. Joining him on stage are Greg Gonzalez (Cigarettes After Sex), Perry Farrell, Fantastic Negrito, Chris Goss (Masters of Reality), Kevin Martin (Candlebox), John Doe and more.

The Evil Dead in Concert - Million Dollar Theatre (Oct. 30 - Nov. 1)
The Evil Dead in Concert opens at the Million Dollar Theatre in Downtown LA on Thursday, October 30 for a three-night run. Part-screening, part-Halloween haunt and part-concert, the event features a live performance of Joe LoDuca’s score alongside a screening of Sam Raimi’s recently restored, 1981 horror classic The Evil Dead. Doors open at 4:30pm, giving fans time to explore The Cellar: An Underground Evil Dead Experience before the 8pm screening.

The Cult & Death Cult - Shrine Auditorium (Oct. 30)
The Cult concludes their fall tour, which includes a set of the band’s early goth incarnation Death Cult, on Thursday, October 30 at The Shrine with support from Failure and Patriarchy. Doors open 90 minutes before the show’s 7:30pm start time.

John Carpenter Live in Concert - The Belasco (Oct. 31 - Nov. 1)
Few tickets remain for the second weekend of John Carpenter’s Halloween engagement at The Belasco, so act fast if you want to see the legendary director and composer of Halloween, Escape From New York and other horror and sci-fi classics in concert on Friday, October 31 or Saturday, November 1.

Carved - Descanso Gardens (Oct. 27-30)
Every October, Descanso Gardens invites the whole family to enjoy Carved, featuring hundreds of carved pumpkins lining the Camellia Forest and Oak Grove. The Descanso Railroad is specially lit for Carved, and new ghosts join the family of wood spirits carved from five enormous logs by Chainsaw Jenna. Be amazed by luminous jack-o’-lanterns, hand-carved giant pumpkins and “Rhizome” installation by Tom and Lien Dekyvere. A family-friendly event for all ages, this year's edition of Carved features a new mile-long trail along with the ever-popular Pumpkin House, a hay maze, and themed food and beverages. Guests can also enjoy UV “black light” experiences, artists sculpting pumpkins, and a special Día de los Muertos installation at the Amphitheater.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - The Regent (Oct. 27)
Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the English singer who has been riding a career resurgence since her early ‘00s club hit “Murder on the Dancefloor” turned up in Saltburn, released her eighth album, Perimenopop in September and she’s playing The Regent on Monday, October 27.

Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist - The Novo (Oct. 27)
Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist already sold out their October 28 stop on the Alfredo tour, but tickets are still available to catch the rapper and producer, whose latest collaboration, Alfredo 2, was released last summer, at The Novo on Monday, October 27. MAVI and Sven Wunder open the night.

Miki Berenyi Trio - The Roxy (Oct. 28)
Led by the former lead singer of shoegaze greats Lush, the Miki Berenyi Trio are in the midst of what will likely be their last U.S. tour. Berenyi, KJ “Moose” McKillop (Moose) and Oliver Cherer (Gilroy Mere) play The Roxy on Tuesday, October 28. Gina Birch and the Unreasonables open the show.

"A Page of Madness" - 2220 Arts + Archives (Oct. 30)
A Page of Madness, the 1926 silent horror film from influential Japanese director Teinosuke Kinugasa, will screen at 2220 Arts + Archives with a live score from The Silent Light, who specialize in fusing original heavy metal compositions with silent movies. This is a 21+ event.

N8NOFACE - El Rey Theatre (Oct. 30)
Local synthpunk fave N8NOFACE, who released the fantastic classic alternative-inspired EP As of Right Now last summer, headlines the El Rey Theatre on Thursday, October 30. Vowws and Protocültura open the show.

The Maze - Union Station (Oct. 31)
Guy Gerber, Lee Burridge, Deer Jade and the Bitar Brothers lure party people back into The Maze, SBCLTR’s Halloween bash at Union Station, on Friday, October 31. Various VIP packages are available for this spooky night at LA’s historic train depot.

Pixel Grip - El Rey Theatre (Oct. 31)
Chicago-based Pixel Grip fuses punk energy and club beats on their latest album, Percepticide: The Death of Reality, and the horror movie-style screams on banger “Reason to Stay” alone make them an ideal band to see on Halloween. Catch them at the El Rey with support from Psymon Spine.

Black Coffee - City Market (Nov. 1)
Planning to keep the party vibes going through Halloween weekend? GRAMMY-winning DJ/producer Black Coffee returns to LA to play City Market in Downtown LA on Saturday, November 1. The open-air event is an early one - the party starts at 5pm and you can be done for the night (or on to the next party) before midnight.

Psycho Sideshow - 1720 (Nov. 2)
Long-running comedy rock outfit Green Jelly headlines the Psycho Sideshow, which rolls through Los Angeles on Sunday, November 2. Joining them at 1720 for the all-ages show will be 96 Bitter Beings, The Convalescence, The Bunny The Bear and Ignominous.

LA Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers - Crypto.com Arena (Oct. 27)
The Lakers start the week at home when they go up against the Portland Trail Blazers at Crypto.com Arena on Monday, October 27 at 7:30pm. They’ll be back on their home court at the end of the week with a game against Miami Heat on Sunday, November 2.

LA Kings vs. Detroit Red Wings - Crypto.com Arena (Oct. 30)
On Halloween Eve, the LA Kings play the Detroit Red Wings on their home ice at Crypto.com Arena . The puck drops at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 30.

LA Clippers vs. New Orleans Pelicans - Intuit Dome (Oct. 31)
Celebrate Halloween at Intuit Dome in Inglewood when the LA Clippers take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, October 31. Tipoff is at 7:30pm.

"Hadestown" - Pantages Theatre (Oct. 28 - Nov. 2)
Winner of eight Tony Awards and the GRAMMY for Best Musical Theater Album, Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice; and King Hades and his wife Persephone — and invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. The acclaimed musical concludes its run at The Pantages with a weekend of matinees and evening performances.
"Jaja’s African Hair Braiding" - Mark Taper Forum (Oct. 28 - Nov. 2)
Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, the Tony-winning comedy set in a Harlem salon, comes to Los Angeles for a month-long run with Center Theatre Group at Mark Taper Forum. Written by Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Whitney White, the play will continue through November 9 with evening and matinee performances.

"The Little King of Norwalk" - Latino Theater Co. (Oct. 30 - Nov. 2)
A tribute to Chicano identity in its many forms, The Little King of Norwalk blends satire, a touch of magical realism, and a nod to Gogol’s The Inspector General. Commissioned by Latino Theater Company and developed through its Circle of Imaginistas playwriting group, this world premiere is a modern barrio fable about power, politics and the price of survival.
