Event Overview

Take a self-guided audio tour of L.A.’s Chinatown right on your smartphone. Developed by the Los Angeles Conservancy, the audio guide provides visitors the chance to explore one of L.A.’s oldest and most exciting neighborhoods with popular culinary hotspots and art galleries.

To access the tour download the free Geotourist app from the Apple and Google Play app stores.

Visitors will experience Central Plaza in the heart of New Chinatown. The tour includes decades-old shops selling traditional teas, medicines, and Chinese imports; and places of historic importance in the battle for Chinese-American civil rights. The tour highlights dining institutions such as Hop Louie and Empress Pavilion, and the site of Madame Wong’s, a hotspot for legendary punk bands in the 1970s and ’80s.
