Winter 2018 marked the 10-year anniversary for dineL.A., Discover Los Angeles’s program, which exists to discover, support and promote L.A.’s culinary scene. In effort to continue the celebration, dineL.A. partnered with 10 of L.A.’s best local shops to offer their version of the ultimate L.A. donut as part of dineL.A. Donut Trek, kicking off on June 1, 2018.
LOS ANGELES (February 20, 2018) – Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (L.A. Tourism) today launched ‘L.A. Insider,’ a new online training tool for travel trade professionals. The mobile and tablet-friendly program is the first of its kind for L.A. Tourism. It has been designed to help U.S. and Canadian travel trade better sell the city and stay up-to-date with its latest offerings, with modules for international markets to follow in the coming months.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (L.A. Tourism) President & CEO Ernest Wooden Jr. announced Los Angeles welcomed 48.3 million visitors in 2017, setting a new tourism milestone for the seventh consecutive year. The record figure is 1.0 million visitors higher than 2016’s total, an increase of 2.2%, driven by an all-time high 41.2 million domestic visitors. International visitation overall grew 0.9% to a record 7.1 million visitors, outperforming both its projected forecast and inbound travel to the United States as a whole in 2017.
