Venue Spotlight: Petersen Automotive Museum
Since opening in 1994, the Petersen Automotive Museum has become known as “the world’s greatest automotive museum” by CNN, Octane, and Top Gear. Following an extensive $125-million renovation in 2015, the Petersen reopened with even grander exhibits and revamped meeting and event spaces. With four floors of dynamic venue space, state-of-the-art technology infused throughout the museum and a great location in the heart of Mid-City, the Petersen Automotive Museum offers an amazing setting for glamorous gatherings. With more than 50,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, the Petersen is a popular choice for product launches, meetings, receptions and more.
Thoughtfully designed with contemporary appeal, the Petersen’s exhibits are featured in three themed floors highlighting the history, industry and artistry of the automotive world in addition to a stunning rooftop pavilion. Exclusive catering provided by the renowned Drago Brothers, from one of L.A.’s most iconic group of restaurants.
The first floor is dedicated to the ARTISTRY of cars, as inspiration and as a canvas for artistic expression. For an additional fee, planners can book the interactive Forza Experience room, where guests can immerse themselves into a day at the races through a 180 degree projection view. Visitors get behind the wheel and experience the dynamic feeling of racing a car in one of eight specifically curated experiences. Ten racing simulators offer a custom version of Forza Motorsport 6.
The third floor of the museum is the HISTORY floor, dedicated to the long relationship between automobiles and drivers, and the ways we have re-imagined the car to suit our needs and desires. This floor is home to the vast Perspectives Gallery, a broad look at automotive history from its inception, as well as the popular Hollywood Gallery, home to some of the most iconic vehicles from film and television.
