Go Metro: all Metro Rail lines, plus Orange and Silver Lines, will run 24 hours on New Year's Eve with free fares from 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Minimal Effort - Los Angeles Theatre

For EDM fans, there's no better place to be on NYE than the historic Los Angeles Theatre in Downtown LA. Minimal Effort features a stellar lineup that includes Bart Skils b2b Layton Giordani, Detlef b2b Latmun, Doc Martin (Sublevel), Human Resources, Lee K, Madeaux, option4, Ross From Friends (Live), RYBO b2b Lubelski, Sharam, Sirus Hood, Alex Angard, Big & Little, DISCHETTO, Jeff Steinka, Paraleven, and Zeplin. New Year's Eve "Eve" - Cicada Club (Dec. 30, 2019)

Located in the historic Oviatt Building, Cicada Club is getting the New Roaring Twenties to an early start on Monday, December 30. Featuring Kayre Morrison and Damon Kirsche, the Dean Mora Orchestra performs dance music from the 1920s through the 1960s with dancing on two floors. Mezzanine lounge seating is first come, first served. Dress code is vintage or elegant evening attire.

Decadence Masquerade Ball - Clifton's Republic

The Bootlegger's Ball - The Edison

Located beneath the streets of Downtown LA, The Edison presents The Bootlegger's Ball, a celebration of the 1920s - the Golden Age of glamour, Rum Runners and speakeasies. Named for the Quechua word that's translated as “a little something extra,” Yapa in Little Tokyo is the brainchild of Josh Goldman and Peru native, Richie Lopez. Yapa is open for regular service on New Year's Eve until 9pm. The long-awaited Los Angeles location of acclaimed New York bar, Death & Co. is celebrating its Grand Opening in the Arts District on New Year's Eve. Located below 3rd Street across from Hauser & Wirth, Death & Co. is hosting a NYE bash with all-you-can eat and drink, including a midnight champagne toast, shareable bites, a special cocktail menu, beer, wine and bubbles.

Boasting one of LA's best patios, creative cocktails and a killer burger, Everson Royce Bar (ERB) is hosting 2020 Vision Future So Clear from 8pm - 1am. No Cover New Year's at Angel City Brewery

The annual No Cover New Year's at Angel City Brewery has become an Arts District holiday tradition. DJ Royer En Español on the decks at 8pm. Live music by The The Vignes Rooftop Revival starting at 9pm. Midnight Toast with Specialty Beer. Food by Downtown Taco Co. and Bison Burger. Doors open at 4pm. Imperial Western Beer Company & The Streamliner

Located at the landmark Union Station in Downtown LA, Imperial Western Beer Company is offering $5 beers and $1 oysters all night long with a complimentary midnight toast. Capture new memories in the photo booth complete with NYE props. Doors open at 3pm and there's no cover!

Tucked inside Imperial Western, The Streamliner offers an innovative cocktail program with classics on tap in a retro 1940s lounge. On New Year's Eve, The Streamliner will open at 4:47pm and serve $9 classic cocktails and free hot dogs with drink purchase after 10pm.

80s vs. 90s - The Offbeat

The Offbeat on York is hosting an 80s vs. 90s NYE featuring DJs Nic Alvarado and Alex Fabian on the decks from 8pm to 2am. No cover, $25 bottles of champagne. Early arrival strongly suggested.



Located in Historic Filipinotown, Thunderbolt is offering a low-key experience for those seeking a less hectic (read: expensive) night out on December 31. Music by DJ Phatrick (Moton on Mondays) and Spinorita (NTS Radio). No cover, no tickets, all of the usual Southern hospitality.

Step into a cooler time this New Year’s Eve with a totally awesome 80s party at Break Room 86 in Koreatown. NYEx10 - Big Bar

Big Bar in Los Feliz is once again hosting NYEx10, with cocktails, countdowns and playlists from around the world. Starting at 3 p.m. in the Eurozone, guests will “travel” across nine other time zones to ring in 2020 on the hour with ten international cocktails and themed playlists.

For this NYE, the Big Bar crew will also take guests BACK in time, with history themed cocktails like the Marie Antoinette to start the festivities, the Abe Lincoln to toast with the East Coast at 9pm, and Billy the Kid, the final cocktail of 2019.

This year's NYEx10 souvenir menu, designed by artist Dave Stolte, is a "Time Wheel" that depicts all of the cocktail specials along with their historical inspirations. In previous years, guests were gifted passports, postcards, a "suitcase" with luggage tags, and even a world map to commemorate their global spirited tour. No cover.

The Black Cat
