This week, Kraftwerk’s 50th anniversary event at Walt Disney Concert Hall comes to its conclusion with the final three performances of the band’s nine-night string of dates. Tickets for the finale on Thursday, May 30 are already sold out, but as this post goes live, there are still seats available for Tuesday and Wednesday night’s shows. 

Pride month begins on Saturday, which is also when Outloud at WeHo Pride kicks off the abundant calendar of June events celebrating LGBTQ+ communities. The two-day music festival at West Hollywood Park boasts a lineup for club kids of all ages with Janelle Monáe and Kylie Minogue in the headlining spots, as well as performances from Channel Tres, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Diplo + Friends, Trixie Mattel, Big Freedia and more.

Elsewhere this week, there are pool parties and dance parties galore, plus concerts from luminaries like Miki Berenyi, Asha Puthli, Swamp Dogg and The Chameleons. Keep reading for more info.

Space Yacht Pool Party - Skybar (May 27)

Joy Downer made waves back in 2020 when her sublime song “In the Water” was featured in the Netflix series, Spinning Out. Her most recent single, “Ships” is a short and sweet slice of dream pop. Kraftwerk nears the end of their 50th anniversary celebration at Walt Disney Concert Hall with a performance of their 2003 album, Tour de France. This is the eighth of the nine concerts in this series and the last one for which tickets are still available, so if you haven’t seen the iconic German electronic band live before, now is your chance.

Miki Berenyi Trio - The Fonda Theatre (May 29)



Miki Berenyi, former lead singer of the popular 1990s British rock band Lush and author of the recently released memoir Fingers Crossed, returns to Los Angeles, this time with the trio that bears her name. Opening the show is the collaborative project between Lol Tolhurst, former drummer of The Cure; and Budgie, previously of Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Creatures. Released in 1986, Strange Times, the third album from The Chameleons, is home to “Swamp Thing,” their best known song and one that’s endured as a goth club staple nearly 40 years after its release. Janelle Monáe headlines the first day of Outloud @ WeHo Pride music festival, but there will certainly be many on hand for Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the British pop star whose early ‘00s jam “Murder on the Dance Floor” became a recent global smash thanks to the movie Saltburn. Doechii, Noah Cyrus, Keke Palmer, Channel Tres and Yaeji are also set to appear on the stacked lineup. With Kylie Minogue in the headlining spot, the second day of Outloud @ WeHo Pride is this weekend’s hot ticket.
