Los Angeles Tourism Launches "Endless Summer" Promotion

Los Angeles Tourism launched an Endless Summer promotion to celebrate the fall season which features some of the best weather of the year, incredible surf and a full calendar of outdoor movie screenings and concerts.


34 area hotels from L.A.’s five regions are offering deals and discounts of up to 35% off as part of the promotion. Full details available on discoverlosangeles.com/EndlessSummer.

 

Participating hotels have included such perks as shopping gift cards to Westfield Century City, room upgrades, resort credits and museum tickets, in addition to overall percentages off rooms booked, and include hotels in L.A.’s five regions: Venice/Beach Cities, The Valley, Downtown, the Westside and Hollywood.

Member Run with Skid Row Running Club

Los Angeles Tourism thanks our members who joined the first-ever member run to support the Skid Row Running Club on Thursday, Sept. 19 in Downtown. The group's early morning 5-mile run went into Boyle Heights and through the Arts District and Little Tokyo before ending at the Midnight Mission in support of this worthy cause.

INDUSTRY NEWS & NOTES

Transient occupancy tax collections for the City's General Fund in June 2019 totaled $27 million, bringing the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 total to a record-breaking $318.9 million, a 6.6% year-over-year increase.

July 2019 was a busy month for the Los Angeles Convention Center with three citywide events and six major local events attracting more than 463,800 guests. Total economic impact generated by hosted events during July was a projected $83.2 million.

Mayor Eric Garcetti broke ground today on the Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) facility at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which will centralize rental car operations into one convenient location and offer a direct connection to the upcoming Automated People Mover (APM) train. The 5.3 million square foot ConRAC facility will feature 18,000 parking stalls with 6,600 ready/return spaces, 10,000 idle vehicle storage spaces, and 1,100 rental car employee spaces as well as visitor parking. A Quick-Turn Around facility will also be on-site, allowing for fueling, washing, and light maintenance of rental car vehicles.
