71Above

Soaring 950 feet above 5th Street in downtown Los Angeles, high atop the iconic U.S. Bank Tower, 71Above restaurant and bar celebrates the diversity of culture and landscape in the City of Angels. Owner Emil Eyvazoff, along with Chef Vartan Abgaryan and General Manager Alex Hasbany lead Los Angeles’ most thrilling dining adventure. Chef Abgaryan’s menus offer an accessible, contemporary modern American cuisine that gently references the ethnic makeup and cultural traditions of the sprawling metropolis below. 71Above diners revel in extraordinary unobstructed scenery, with views expanding for miles in all directions.  The stunning, unobstructed panorama is protected from the elements by technological engineering that automatically darken and lighten the glass panes surrounding the restaurant, offering shading in the light of day, while magically lightening as dusk and nightfall arrive. The 71Above logo dramatically installed at the front entrance extends outward in every direction, landing at table tops capped by a compass, alongside artistic directional beautifully positioned on mirrored partitions that highlight the closest local and farthest international destinations. Table tops of polished white oak blend with extensive use of white oak columns and mirrored pillars. Positioned among Jonathan Gold’s Best Restaurants in Los Angeles, 71Above offers that rare combination - a refined, multi-course dining experience or a burger and beer or a world class glass of wine at the bar.  Recognized by food and travel writers as one of the city’s most diverse offerings, 71Above serves as a second home to the local business community and Southern Californians near and far, as well as an exciting destination for the surging LA tourism industry.
