LOS ANGELES TOURISM WELCOMES SHELBY BARTEMES AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS
LOS ANGELES (June 24, 2026) – Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (Los Angeles Tourism) today announced the appointment of Shelby Bartemes as Senior Vice President, Global Communications. In this role, Bartemes will lead the organization’s Global Communications team to advance Los Angeles Tourism’s brand and reputation across key audiences worldwide. Bartemes will report to Eileen Hanson, Chief Marketing Officer.

Bartemes joins Los Angeles Tourism from Brandman – a global PR firm specializing in hospitality and travel - where she most recently served as Managing Director. Over the course of more than a decade with the agency, she led communications strategies for a portfolio of leading destination and hospitality brands, helping strengthen brand positioning and visibility across domestic and international markets. She advised senior executives on media engagement and communications strategy, oversaw international agency partnerships and guided clients through complex communications and reputation-management challenges. Her client portfolio included Los Angeles Tourism, Experience Scottsdale, Visit Victoria, Hong Kong Tourism Board and several luxury hospitality brands.
Prior to Brandman, Bartemes served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills, where she led marketing and communications efforts for the flagship property, overseeing brand positioning, media relations and strategic partnerships.
