LOS ANGELES CELEBRATES WRESTLEMANIA 39 SUCCESS AS LA'S DECADE OF MAJOR SPORTING EVENTS CONTINUES

WWE WrestleMania 39 LIVE RESULTS: Start time, match card, TV channel

LOS ANGELES (April 6, 2023) – Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board—the official nonprofit tourism promotion organization for the City of Angels—the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission and SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park welcomed World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans from more than 60 countries and all 50 states this past weekend for WrestleMania 39, which included a total of five events between SoFi Stadium and Crypto.com Arena. WWE announced that WrestleMania 39 was the organization’s most successful and highest-grossing event in company history, setting new records for viewership, gate, sponsorship, merchandise and social media. The two sold-out nights at SoFi Stadium generated a new live-attendance record, with 161,892 fans in attendance on April 1 and 2. 

Fans were also able to enjoy three events at Crypto.com Arena, including Friday Night Smackdown, NXT Stand & Deliver, Monday Night Raw, and the WrestleMania Super Store was open Thursday to Monday at the LA Convention Center. The weekend's widespread success reinforces Los Angeles’ position as one of the world’s leading sports hubs, with Super Bowl LVI, the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, and the 2023 CFP National Championship already hosted and the 123rd U.S. Open Championship coming this June.

Los Angeles continues to celebrate its recognition as the host of several upcoming high-profile sports and entertainment events, including the 123rd U.S. Open Championship this June, the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball West Region Championship, the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
