A Christmas Carol with Charles Dickens

Our holiday tradition returns to the Indie Shakes Studio for its 20th Anniversary Season!

Join us as we welcome Mr. Charles Dickens himself to our stage! You’ll be charmed as you step over the Studio threshold into a cozy Victorian drawing room where Mr. Dickens performs the beloved story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the curious events that unfold around him one cold, London night. He's joined by a young American actress who's determined to teach Mr. Dickens a few lessons of her own.

Based on Dickens’ own adaptation, the performance stars David Melville, with musical accompaniment and dramatic interjections by his American assistant, Miss Tichenor. Expect a show filled with the author’s infamous acting pyrotechnics, holiday music, wry humor, and redemption.
