Gelson’s West LA Hosts Tuna Cutting & Tasting Experience

Gelson’s Markets West LA is hosting a live tuna cutting and tasting experience on Saturday, July 26, from 1 PM to 4 PM. Guests can watch as the Red Shell Sushi team breaks down a 132-lb whole bluefin tuna, celebrated for its rich flavor, exquisite marbling, and delicate texture.
The afternoon includes an eight-course tasting featuring salted edamame, chirashi salad, a sashimi flight featuring chutoro, otoro, and akami, a crunchy poke bowl with crispy wonton strips and poke sauce, a freshly rolled tuna hand roll, a nigiri combo with chutoro, otoro, akami, and salmon with toppings, and a seared tuna steak.
Attendees will also receive a swag bag, have access to raffle prizes, and can bid on coveted cuts during a live auction. Tuna Saku blocks will be available for purchase post-event.
All attendees must RSVP by July 24th. The event will take place on Saturday, July 26th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Gelson’s West LA store. Guests are asked to arrive at the Wine Bar by 1:00pm.
