Dan Lopez is a local bookseller, author, and community organizer. He's a native Spanish speaker who loves reading Latin American and Spanish literature in its original form. He's the author of two books, the short story collection Part the Hawser, Limn the Sea (a Lambda Literary Award finalist for best debut fiction), and the novel The Show House (named a Best Book of 2016 by Chicago Review of Books). He's a regular contributor of book recommendations to the LARB Radio Hour podcast.
