Young Frankenstein is a 1974 American comedy horror film directed by Mel Brooks and starring Gene Wilder as the title character, a descendant of the infamous Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and Peter Boyle as the monster. Braindead (also known as Dead Alive in the United States) is a 1992 New Zealand splatstick zombie comedy film directed by Peter Jackson, produced by Jim Booth, and written by Jackson, along with Fran Walsh and Stephen Sinclair. It stars Timothy Balme as Lionel, a man living with his mother Vera, who gets into trouble for his relationship with a Spanish women, Paquita. When a rabid hybrid animal bites Vera, she gradually begin a zombie outbreak in Wellington.
