Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation providing breast cancer education, prevention and survivor support programs for young people, announced their 12th annual Skate the Coast event today. The 19-mile skate, bike or roll will begin at the Santa Monica Pier and the coastal cruise will conclude at Dive N Surf in Redondo Beach. The two-day event will benefit B4BC’s mission and the proceeds raised will directly support their education, prevention and survivorship programs. To register for the Skate the Coast event, click here: https://b4bc.org The Skate the Coast event kicks-off on Friday evening, October 11 with a registration party at Arbor Flagship in Venice with live music, BBQ by Traeger Grills, free flowing Suja Juices, 10 Barrel Beers and a silent auction and raffle. Saturday, October 12, participants will collectively roll in a sea of pink along the iconic Strand from Santa Monica to Redondo Beach. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in on the fun. Below is the schedule for the Skate the Coast event on Saturday: Sat. October 12 - Skate the Coast 8AM-4PM 8:00 AM - SHARP! Meet at Veterans Park in Redondo Beach for shuttle to starting point at The Santa Monica Pier. 9:00 AM - Depart from Santa Monica Pier 9AM – 1 PM - SKATE BIKE ROLL 19 miles along beautiful beaches of Los Angeles from The Santa Monica Pier to finish line at DIVE N’ SURF with 3 hydration stations along the way 11:30 AM **NEW THIS YEAR**DOCKWEILER STATE BEACH DROP IN – Participants who would like a smaller commitment will be able to join the push for the last 8 miles at Dockweiler State Beach. 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM - Awards ceremony + celebrations at Dive N Surf Redondo Beach - fun music, beverages from Suja Organic Juices and food and snacks graciously provided by Beyond Meat and Thrive Market. Participation Fee: All participants must fundraise a minimum of $50, but everyone is encouraged to fundraise as much as they can to support the cause. All participants will receive a sponsor goodie bag, event t-shirt and raffle tickets. The top three fundraisers will be recognized and awarded prize packs from partners including GoPro, Yeti, Skullcandy, Arbor, Vans, Von Zipper, Nixon and more. Please note: All participants are required to sign waivers. If you are under 18, you must have signatures from a parent or legal guardian and wear a helmet. Electric scooters (Bird + Lime) not permitted.
