(ALSO SEPT. 8) CLAY LA is an annual curated ceramic marketplace and fundraiser, marking the continuation of Craft Contemporary's ceramic and clay based programming, workshops, sales, and exhibitions. The event aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements of ceramic artists in the greater Los Angeles area.
Guests of CLAY LA will enjoy music and complimentary refreshments while they shop and mingle in the presence of outstanding design and craftsmanship presented by our curated vendors. A VIP Brunch Preview will take place Saturday morning, offering first access to the event, first pick of any ceramic pieces, and complimentary specialty cocktails with breakfast catered by Porto's Bakery. This event is a chance for shoppers to enjoy a more intimate shopping experience, as well as a fantastic opportunity for guests to meet with artists.

Leading Artist Highlight: Craft Contemporary will be featuring a special artist showcase on the works of Ben Medansky. Originally scheduled as part of the first edition of CLAY LA in 2016, Medansky unfortunately had to cancel his participation due to a studio fire just days before the event. We are thrilled to include him in this year's edition and highlight his evolution as an artist. The showcase is an opportunity to celebrate how Medansky’s ceramic practice and artistic voice has paved the way for emerging ceramic practices, inspiring the Los Angeles ceramic community at large.
