LOS ANGELES, CA. (February 20, 2019) – Pure art is inclusive by nature believes Scott “Sourdough” Power, artist and co-founder of Crewest Studio, a creative communications company dedicated to art, design and creative culture. Bringing that ethos to life, Power has launched NOT REAL ART, a multi-faceted platform dedicated to promoting and supporting artists including an upcoming artists’ conference in Los Angeles on March 16, 2019.

“NOT REAL ART is inspired by the ethos of inclusivity and designed to be fun, friendly and accessible; my primary goal is to create new bridges and pathways that support artists in meaningful ways while making them and their work accessible to new people,” says Sourdough Power.

The project began with the NOT REAL ART Podcast, an ongoing, unfiltered talk show format where Sourdough and his long-time collaborator, artist Man One discuss their mutual love (and hate) for today’s art, design and creative culture. Now, Power is extending the NOT REAL ART spirit into a new unique first-of-its-kind creative conference for artists on Saturday March 16th in Los Angeles.

NOT REAL ART Conference for Artists is a one-day learning event for artists, designers and creatives (at all levels) to share, network and grow professionally. Attendees will learn from top experts and artists about strategic issues: protecting their intellectual property (IP), licensing their IP and pitching their IP to Hollywood. Topics will include: How to Legally Protect Your Art; Selling Art on Social Media; How To License Your Art; Curating Art on the Street, among others. Sure to be a popular panel, “Pitching Your Art to Hollywood” will provide practical insights on developing art for entertainment properties in the wild world of content creators and disruptors like Netflix, Apple and Amazon. The conference is being produced by Crewest Studio. (

Speakers and panelists include top artists, media and experts in the business of ART.
