Featuring elevated modern American cuisine by Executive Chef Javier Lopez, 71Above is the highest restaurant west of the Mississippi and boasts spectacular ocean views from Malibu to Laguna Hills, along with the Los Angeles basin and the surrounding mountain ranges.

Lopez is featuring a four-course New Year's Eve Menu that starts with an amuse of Chawanmushi (black truffle, winter squash) followed by a Farm Salad, Japanese Sea Bream Crudo or Potato Leek Soup. Next, choose from Grilled Octopus, Spanish Bigoli Pasta or Bay Scallop. Entree selections include Grilled Ribeye, New Zealand Salmon, Young Chicken and Charred Red Beet Steak. Located at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, Michael Mina's modern steakhouse is serving a three-course New Year's Eve Menu for $150 per person. Reservations at Seven Rooms.

Start with Tuna Tartare, Michael's Waldorf Salad, Thick-Cut Bacon, French Onion Soup or Caviar "Twinkie" ($30 supplement). For entrée, choose from Pastrami-Spiced Wagyu Short Rib, Phyllo Crusted Dover Sole or Pepper-Crusted Big Eye Tuna. Upgrade to Duck Fat Aged Prime Ribeye Roast ($15 supplement), 8 oz Black Angus Filet Mignon ($50), or Mina's signature Maine Lobster Pot Pie ($75). Sides for the table include Whipped Potato Puree with "lots of butter," Truffled Mac & Cheese and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Caldo Verde - Proper Downtown L.A.



James Beard winning restaurateurs Caroline Styne and Suzanne Goin are serving a six-course NYE dinner at Caldo Verde, the signature restaurant of the Proper Downtown L.A. There are two seatings: the first seating is 5pm - 6:45pm and the second is 9pm - 10:30pm.

Highlights of the second seating menu include Gougères to start; Hamachi Crudo & Caviar, Winter Citrus Salad, Lobster & Ricotta Gnocchi, Westholme Wagyu Sirloin and Honey Cake.

Enjoy a poolside NYE at the Baja-inspired Caravan Swim Club, which is serving a three-course prix fixe menu from 11am to 9pm. Start with Warm Lobster, Grilled Octopus or Endive with pears, grapefruit, radish, walnuts and blue cheese dressing. Start with two gluten-free dishes: Kelp "Caviar" with potato rosti, almond crème fraîche and chive; and Cauliflower & Leek Soup with truffle dust and crispy leeks. Culina + Veil & Velvet



Located at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Culina is featuring a five-course NYE dinner that begins with an amuse of Potato Tartlet topped with crème fraîche and caviar, followed by a primi of Roasted Beets, Scallop Crudo or Tuna Steak Crudo. For the pasta course, choose from Cavatelli with Manila clams and smoked trout roe; or Butternut Squash Raviolo with winter black truffle. Entree selections include Wagyu Striploin, Halibut, Chicken Roulade and Cone Cabbage. The sweet finish is a choice of Red Berry Panna Cotta or Chocolate & Espresso.

Fanny's - Academy Museum of Motion Pictures



The signature restaurant of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Fanny's is serving a six-course tasting menu curated by Executive Chef Jun Bum Oh. The focus at Fogo de Chão is churrasco, the Brazilian art of roasting meats over an open fire. All five LA locations will be serving the Churrasco Experience from 11am to midnight on NYE, and 11am to 9pm on New Year's Day.

Signature cuts include the Picanha (prime cut of top sirloin), Bone-In Beef Ancho (Ribeye), Linguica (Spicy Pork Sausage) and Frango (Chicken). Add an Indulgent Cut (sized for four or more to share) such as Wagyu New York Strip, Wagyu Ancho, 36 oz Dry-Aged Tomahawk Ancho, 30 oz Wagyu Porterhouse or Whole Branzino - fire-roasted 2 lb fresh fish that's carved tableside. Brazilian sides include pão de queijo (cheese bread), crispy polenta, mashed potatoes and caramelized bananas.

Located in the red-hot Hollywood Vinyl District, modern Italian restaurant Grandmaster Recorders is serving a family-style dinner with two seatings - early (5:30pm - 7pm) is priced at $95 per person, and late (7:15pm - 10pm) is $120.

Highlights include Scallop Tartare and Gougères to start; Antipasti (Housemade Focaccia, Slow Cooked Westholme Wagyu, Buffalo Burrata, Insalata di Agrumi) and Koda Farms Koshu Rose Truffle Risotto. Curtis and Luke Stone's Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant and butcher shop, Gwen is offering two seatings for its New Year's Eve prix fixe menus.

Priced at $180 per person for the Early Seating (4:30pm - 6:30pm), highlights include Oyster with crispy chicken skin & pomegranate; Dry Aged Beef Tartare, Winter Citrus, Josper Roasted Scallops, Culurgiones, Creekstone Ribeye, Grape Pearls with almond milk sorbet; and Baked Alaska.

The Late Seating (8:30pm - 10pm) is $280/person and adds Caviar, Blue Corn Tamale and Grilled Duck to the festivities.

On NYE, Here's Looking at You is featuring a ten-dish, multi-course tasting menu priced at $110 per person. Begin with Tigelle (clotted cream, jamon iberico) then enjoy Tuna Crudo with smoked kombu aioli and New (Year) Potato - caviar, confit onion, celery. Next, Roasted Abalone (lion's mane, parsley, tare) and Kraut Bao with cabbage and horseradish. The third course offers Lamb Porchetta, Sturgeon and Tortellini en Brodo. And finally, indulge in Champagne Jello (persimmon, pomegranate, crème fraîche) and Dark Chocolate with hazelnut, anise and shortbread.

Available add-ons include a Whole Maine Lobster with roe butter ($75) and a "Bottle o' Fine Champagne" for $165.

KALI



Located on Melrose Avenue a block from Paramount Studios, the Michelin-starred Kali is a sleek, sun-splashed space that offers a more casual setting than expected for the high end cuisine served by Chef Kevin Meehan, whose LA culinary career includes L'Orangerie, Bastide, Citrine, Patina and Café Pinot.

On NYE, Meehan is serving a six-course prix fixe menu that starts with a Trio of the Sea: Morro Bay oysters, Monterey Bay abalone and Santa Barbara sea urchin. Other courses include Bay Scallop Ceviche, Black Winter Truffle Agnolotti Pasta, Caramelized Local Black Cod with roasted sunchoke & celery root cream; Dry Aged "Flannery" New York Steak with crispy potato & black garlic jam; and Chocolate Crémeux.

Named for city founder Harry Culver's wife, Lillie's at the Culver Hotel presents Dancing Through the Decades, a New Year's Eve dinner and dance party that time travels through the past 100 years! Enjoy live music in the Grand Lobby and DJs on the patio and in the Velvet Lounge.
