2014 Asics LA Marathon

On Sunday, March 9, 2014, thousands of runners will navigate their way from Downtown LA to Santa Monica in the 29th annual LA Marathon. The 2014 Asics LA Marathon will take runners from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean. Runners will pass many of LA’s world‐famous landmarks along the way, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, TCL Chinese Theatre, the Sunset Strip, Rodeo Drive and the Santa Monica Pier. Reflecting its status as a premier race, The Stadium to the Sea course is considered one of the most scenic in the world.

5 Years of Tai Chi in Griffith Park

Griffith Park is now in its 45th year of offering free Tai Chi classes. Since 1968, a group of people have met in Griffith’s Bronson Canyon Park, rain or shine, to practice the art of Tai Chi. The group typically consists of 50 – 60 people and is led by an instructor every Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. www.taichila.com

Herringbone at Mondrian Los Angeles

Celebrity Chef Brian Malarkey of BRAVO’s Top Chef and ABC’s The Taste alongside Enlightened Hospitality Group partner and hospitality visionary James Brennan, are set to expand their wildly popular restaurant group to Los Angeles by opening their acclaimed restaurant, Herringbone, at Mondrian Los Angeles. New Theme Park Attractions in 2014

Coming in 2014 to Universal Studios Hollywood is the highly anticipated 3D experience “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.” This 3D Ultra-HD motion simulator ride will bring the Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment blockbuster, Despicable Me, to life. The attraction is being adapted after the one at its sister park, Universal Orlando Resort, however it will have a few touches unique to Los Angeles. www.universalstudioshollywood.com
