Los Angeles Hotel Business Amenities

When traveling to Los Angeles for business, there are certain amenities and services that have come to be expected as standards, such as high-speed Internet and business center access. However, it’s that much more reassuring to know that a hotel is known for going above and beyond the norm to ensure a productive, enjoyable stay. These five properties truly cater to the needs of LA business travelers.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites

The Bonaventure is distinguished as the largest convention hotel in Los Angeles, with 1,354 guest rooms and suites, and located six blocks from the LA Convention Center itself. It is also nicknamed the “city within a city,” as the property is spread out over a full block, with a comprehensive set of services and amenities, all encompassed on the vast hotel grounds. The Bonaventure Galleria contains everything from car and limo rentals to law and dental offices. FedEx operates the 24-hour business center. Room service is available around the clock, but other dining options run the gamut from food court-style fare to the upscale, 35th-floor LA Prime steakhouse. One floor below, the BonaVista Lounge makes a full 360-rotation ever hour, for impressive, panoramic city views—the last of its kind in Los Angeles.

The Redbury

This small, boutique property attracts many entertainment industry types, thanks to its enviable location, and its close proximity to the Metro Red Line station. Repeat visitors, however, take advantage of the Series 7 BMW house car, which is available within a three-mile radius of the hotel (and to sister property SLS). Guests who need to borrow iPads may do so free of charge. WiFi costs $10 per day, but the bandwidth is impressive. While there are a full array of laundry and dry cleaning services, road warriors often appreciate the simplicity of having their own in-room washer/dryer combo unit. Also, not only can diners charge meals at onsite Cleo to their rooms, the same goes for Katsuya across the street, making expense reports that much easier.

L’Ermitage Beverly Hills

This luxurious Beverly Hills property is now part of Viceroy Hotel Group. While the ownership has changed, the personalized service remains a strong point. The business center is open 24 hours, and is located next to the concierge, who can assist with faxing, scanning and printing needs. For long-term guests, frequent visitors and other VIPs, complimentary business cards are provided upon request. All guests are greeted curbside and escorted directly to their rooms upon arrival, and the hotel does its best to accommodate flexible check-in and check-out schedules.

Custom Hotel

Part of boutique lifestyle brand Joie de Vivre, this is not a typical corporate airport hotel, though services like a free airport shuttle are offered. The LAX lounge displays flight information, and has a printer for boarding passes. In the lobby’s Layover Lounge, communal tables are outfitted with multiple power outlets, and there’s free WiFi throughout the property. For guests who need to wind down a bit after a long work day, there’s also the Transonic gaming lounge for Xbox and Wii, or the 12th-floor Stratosphere room with leather massage chairs.

Hotel Amarano

Home to many studios and entertainment companies, Burbank has been coined the “Media City,” and the luxurious Amarano provides easy access to NBC, Universal and Warner Bros, among others. With only 132 guest rooms and suites, a great deal of emphasis is placed on personalized customer service. SUV car service is provided to and from Bob Hope Airport, upon request, as well as anywhere else within three miles of the property. A 24-hour business center is outfitted with both Mac and PC computers, with room for laptop setup as well. Printing is free, as is faxing, care of the front desk. WiFi is also complimentary throughout the hotel. In the room, there are oversized desks, making for a very large work area. The in-room safe is even designed with an interior charger for laptops.
