A Letter to Boston from L.A.
Hey Boston,
I heard you broke up with Snow the other day. I know what you’re going through. I broke up with Rain a while ago, and I have to admit I miss him sometimes. He showed up around the holidays, but he tried way too hard to impress me and reminded me why I dumped him in the first place.
Look, you don’t want to be around Snow while he’s being such a jerk. Come out to the West Coast and let’s have some fun in the sun. It's a three-day weekend and the forecast is in the 80s!
Hottest Hotel Pools
First things first, book a room at a hotel with a great pool so we can relax poolside and make plans. How about one of the vintage cabanas at the Hollywood Roosevelt, where Marilyn Monroe stayed? Love that David Hockney mural at the bottom of the Tropicana Pool. Read More →
Scenic Coastal Drive
Since you don’t drive much, you can ride shotgun while I drive us up the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible. We can grab a bite at a beachfront restaurant overlooking the ocean. Read More →
Spa & Wellness
Of course you deserve some pampering and you’ll want to look your best for Spring. We can work up a sweat at a state-of-the-art fitness center, then decompress at a world-class spa. Read More →
New Restaurants
I’m really excited to see our L.A. chefs getting their props. So many new restaurants have opened since the last time you were here and more are on the way. We could try Asian, New American, or how about your favorite, lobster rolls. Read More →
Special Olympics
By the way, congrats on the Patriots winning the Super Bowl! And look at me, I don’t even have an NFL team (yet). Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help you with your 2024 Summer Olympics bid. After all, I’ve hosted the Summer Games twice and a World Cup final. And this July I’m hosting the Special Olympics World Games, the world’s largest sports and humanitarian event featuring 7,000 athletes from 170 countries competing in 25 sports.
Singles Awareness Day
With Valentine’s Day coming up there are plenty of Singles Awareness Day events too. There’s the incredible Lucha VaVoom at the Mayan Theatre, or we could get dressed up and dance the night away at Create in Hollywood. Tom Bergin’s (you know, the Irish pub that inspired “Cheers”) is hosting a S.A.D. party on Feb. 14. After a couple of “bitter” Old Fashioneds, any thoughts of Snow will melt away. Read More →
Can’t wait to see you here, don’t forget to pack your swimsuit and sunglasses!
xoxo,
