Universal Studios® Halloween Horror Nights® brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse you in a living, breathing, three-dimensional world of terror. From the movie studio that invented the horror film genre, get ready for the scariest, most intense Halloween event in Southern California.

Taking place on select nights Sept. 15 through Nov. 4, this year's HHN features more mazes than ever, with eight terrifying experiences based on iconic films and acclaimed TV series, including American Horror Story: Roanoke, Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, and Ash vs Evil Dead. The thrills continue with the Titans of Terror Tram hosted by Chucky, an all-new Jabbawockeez live show, and three new scare zones lurking around every dark corner.

Step this way for a sneak peek at Halloween Horror Nights… if you dare!

American Horror Story: Roanoke

FX’s critically-acclaimed, Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winning American Horror Story returns to Halloween Horror Nights, bringing Ryan Murphy’s demented “Roanoke” installment to life. American Horror Story: Roanoke will unearth the twisted legacy of the Lost Colony of Roanoke, transporting guests to the haunted backwoods of North Carolina where they will experience the terror that has tormented the town for centuries.

The all-new maze, reimagined in acute and disturbing detail, will unmask a cast of deranged killers, from the cannibalistic Polk family that feeds on innocent victims to The Butcher who thrives on human sacrifices. Trapped in a vicious circle of evil and murder, guests will find themselves in a life-and-death battle to outrun the nightmare of Roanoke before the vindictive spirits and demented killers soak the earth with the blood of their victims.

THE SHINING

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. For the first time ever, The Shining is coming to Halloween Horror Nights. Based on visionary director Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film, The Shining will let Halloween Horror Night guests experience all the iconic scenes and characters from the "masterpiece of modern horror."

While venturing through the eerie Overlook Hotel, guests will be plunged into the hotel’s tragic history of murder and madness, bearing witness to caretaker Jack Torrance’s downward spiral into insanity. Nightmarish visions will come to life in this macabre maze, overwhelming guests with the “shine” of the murderous, ghostly entities that lurk around every turn – all while trying to escape the wrath of Jack Torrance as he violently succumbs to the hotel’s paranormal forces.

ASH VS EVIL DEAD

The critically-acclaimed STARZ Original Series, Ash vs Evil Dead will make its Halloween Horror Nights debut with an all-new haunted maze. Ash vs Evil Dead will transport guests into the town of Elk Grove, Michigan, where they will encounter Deadites – people or objects possessed by evil demons – that have been unwittingly unleashed by Ash Williams… again. Throughout the maze, guests will come face-to-face with disturbing characters and comedic and gory scenes from Seasons 1 and 2 as they desperately try to escape all things evil before it’s too late.

TITANS OF TERROR

In the new Titans of Terror maze, guests will fall victim to the silver screen’s most infamous killers, whose affinity for bladed weapons redefined the horror movie genre as slasher films: Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) wielding his deadly chainsaw; Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) brandishing his relentless machete; and Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street) swiping his trademark glove armed with razor blades.

The new maze will be an assault on your sensibilities as you descend into the forbidden realms of these iconic horror monsters and discover the place where these depraved legacies were born.

SAW: THE GAMES OF JIGSAW

One of the highest grossing horror film franchises of all time, the SAW series makes its return to Halloween Horror Nights, bringing the blockbuster’s most terrifying traps to life in an all-new original maze. SAW: The Games of Jigsaw features the scariest game yet. Guests will come face-to-face with the work of master craftsman “Jigsaw” and a collection of his most infamous traps from the SAW film series and upcoming eighth installment, JIGSAW.

INSIDIOUS: BEYOND THE FURTHER

Insidious: Beyond the Further is a creepy new maze based on the Insidious film franchise, including the upcoming fourth installment, Insidious: The Last Key, opening in theatres nationwide on Jan. 5, 2018.

Insidious: Beyond the Further will delve deep into brilliant parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier’s past, starting with a childhood in which her paranormal abilities emerged…until her mother’s untimely death by a demonic entity. Troubled by a lifetime of evil supernatural spirits trapped in the Further—a vacuous netherworld caught between the living and the dead—Dr. Rainier will take guests on an unsettling journey back in time through a portal into the Further to defy the most depraved and intimidating beings that have tormented her since the 1950s.

THE HORRORS OF BLUMHOUSE

One of today’s most prolific producers of contemporary horror films, Jason Blum brings three twisted Blumhouse Productions films to life in one bone-chilling experience. The Horrors of Blumhouse brings you face-to-face with the most iconic and unnerving moments from the blockbuster The Purge franchise, Sinister movies and the soon-to-be released Happy Death Day.

In The Purge, guests will attempt to survive the night as they are immersed in the film’s depraved world, where all crime is declared legal as part of the government’s annually sanctioned 12-hour Purge. In a "living trailer" for Happy Death Day, guests will experience a deja-vu scenario as they are forced to relive the last day of their lives over and over again in an attempt to escape a masked killer. The final nightmare is Sinister, where guests will encounter an ancient pagan deity who is determined to trap them in the sordid shadow world of the dead for all eternity.

THE WALKING DEAD ATTRACTION

Enter the post-apocalyptic world of AMC's The Walking Dead! Fight for survival in a fully immersive journey as you navigate through a world overrun by hungry walkers. Follow in the footsteps of the human survivors as you battle your way through nightmarish iconic landscapes that bring the most popular cable TV show in history to life.

TITANS OF TERROR TRAM: HOSTED BY CHUCKY

The Titans of Terror Tram Hosted by Chucky will transport guests into a nightmare of carnage that pits guests against four modern horror icons, led by serial killer doll Chucky (Child’s Play ). With his faithful army of degenerate chainsaw-wielding Good Guy Dolls, Chucky will unleash havoc upon guests as they navigate a portion of the world-famous Universal Studios backlot.

Further Terror Tram encounters include Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) at the Crystal Lake Motel, where he slaughters newly arrived camp counselors; an ominous confrontation with Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), who takes his ultimate revenge on the town of Springwood; and a final foray through the barn from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where Leatherface and the Sawyer family butcher victims for their cannibal cuisine.

The Terror Tram enables you to walk along an area of the famed movie and television studio, where such sets as the Psycho House and the Bates Motel from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller, and Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, are located.

New Jabbawockeez Show

Originating from the Westside of the galaxy light years away, the Jabbawockeez have crash-landed on planet Earth and are now stranded in the 1950s. A musical journey ensues as they try to find a way back home. On this fantastic voyage through this strange land, the Jabbawockeez encounter a like-minded and masked character named Alize - unaware that this being they've just met may hold the key to the Jabbawockeez' homecoming.
