Enchanted Days & Magical Nights at Sheraton Universal

You've convinced your family and friends that you are part-wizard, and your long-haired cats are named Dumbledore and Dobby. Naturally, a visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Studios Hollywood™ is in order.

You awake at the newly renovated Sheraton Universal in plush white linens and leap out of your king-size bed to gaze down at the aqua-hued pool, rolling green Hollywood Hills, and Universal Studios Hollywood beckoning nearby. After brewing some in-room coffee, you bound down to the lobby where you take in glittering chandeliers, sparkling mirror accents, and striking photos of Golden Age Hollywood stars. You consider knocking back one more coffee but Hogwarts™ is calling.

There are free shuttles to Universal Studios, but the world-famous theme park is so close to the hotel you decide to walk. During the 10-minute stroll, you bask in the warm Southern California sun and admire the palm trees swaying in the crisp morning air.

You arrive at the park early and are thrilled that you can fly through the short lines. Your experience begins with Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ which whisks you through an adventure inside the mysterious castle featuring dragons and other fantastic creatures. Across the ride is the Flight of the Hippogriff™ roller coaster, which you ride and re-ride before peeking through shops like Gladrags Wizardwear, Honeydukes™ and Owl Post™.

You pick up some mystical tokens for your cats, a shiny cape, and a chocolate wand. Dinner is Bangers & Mash at the British-themed Three Broomsticks™ tavern and then you head to Hog’s Head™ where you wash your supper down with a couple of frothy Butterbeers™. Before leaving you quickly snap a selfie in front of the stone castle—and no surprise, it turns out truly magical.

Flying high with excitement after your Harry Potter experience, you take an evening stroll through Universal CityWalk, where you disappear into a colorful crowd and end up following a party into the raucous bar Howl at the Moon. The swinging joint houses two dueling pianos and under the bright lights you're singing along to a swoon-worthy version of “This Magic Moment” along with a bewitching brunette who cast a spell on you the moment you walked in. You summon your Hogsworth-earned courage and ask her for a dance - she says yes, and you know that this enchanted evening is just getting started.
