Discover Sonam and Anand's LA

Award-winning actress Sonam Kapoor recently visited Los Angeles with her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja. Read on and discover the best of LA with Sonam and Anand.

During their visit, Sonam and Anand stayed at the landmark Hollywood Roosevelt, located across from the world-famous Dolby Theatre (home of the Oscars), the Walk of Fame, and Hollywood & Highland. Legendary stars like Marilyn Monroe often stayed at the Roosevelt, which hosted the very first Academy Awards.

Sonam and Anand also bowled a few frames at The Spare Room, located on the hotel mezzanine. The Spare Room is a celebrity hotspot with craft cocktails, a two-lane bowling alley, and classic board games in a throwback gaming parlor setting.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of nearly 140,000 objects that illuminate 6,000 years of artistic expression across the globe. Art lovers like Sonam can explore LACMA and view everything from ancient Greek sculpture to Robert Rauschenberg's monumental The 1/4 Mile.

"It’s finally time to eat in @discoverLA! And we found one of the coolest vegetarian-friendly restaurants in town: @salazarfrogtown!"

Sonam and Anand enjoyed an al fresco lunch at Salazar, the colorful Frogtown dining spot known for its Mexican BBQ, Margaritas and outdoor patio. Salazar was opened in May 2016 by Chef Esdras Ochoa, who recently collaborated with Chef Amninder Sandhu to relaunch Sancho's in Mumbai. Fans say Salazar's carne asada tacos and esquites (Mexican street corn salad) are some of the best in the city.

LA-based musician and YouTube star, Vidya Vox met up with Sonam and Anand for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. Named one of the Top 25 Attractions in the United States, the tour explores the landmark 110-acre studio as well as the innovative Stage 48: Script to Screen, where Sonam, Anand and Vidya sat in the iconic Central Perk sofa from Friends.

Also at Stage 48, Anand stepped into Batman's boots and rode the Batpod from The Dark Knight.

Next up for Sonam and Anand was The Last Bookstore in Downtown LA. Spanning 22,000 square feet in the Spring Arts Tower at 5th & Spring, The Last Bookstore houses more than 250,000 new and used books across two floors, including the Arts & Rare Book Annex. The huge mezzanine level includes the Labyrinth Above the Last Bookstore - the "hole" in the book stacks is one of the most Instagrammed locales in DTLA.

There are celebrities everywhere you look when the Lakers play at STAPLES Center, and sure enough when Sonam and Anand went to a game, they ended up kicking it with actress Mindy Kaling: "So last night at the game I got to meet and hang out with one of the coolest people I’ve ever met @mindykaling she’s impossibly sweet, funny and smart.. also thanks @anandahuja for taking multiple pictures of us!"
