The dining room at this elegant, perennial Italian favorite features arched ceilings and Tuscan earth tones, plus a marble topped bar area for socializing. The cuisine skirts many of the Italian provinces, with dishes such as pappa al pomodoro, the soothing bread soup from Tuscany, richly sauced pastas from Emilia-Romagna, and Lombardy’s osso buco all Milanese, served with saffron risotto. There is a nice by the glass wine list, stocked with a number of California and Italian boutique wines.
