This Mother’s Day, Zhena Folk Chorus transports you to the villages of Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. The women of Zhena (“woman” or “’wife” in Slavic languages) are dedicated to preserving and presenting the folk songs of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, and Romania, among others. Explore the intricate rhythms, and enchanting harmonies of this joyous music―complete with colorful ensembles―in this afternoon performance for all ages.
