Slow Art Day is a global event with a simple mission: help more people discover the joy of looking at and loving art. One day each year people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly. Participants are invited to look at five works of art for ten minutes each and then meet together over lunch to talk about their experience.

At the Fowler, participants will meet in the Museum lobby for a list of objects to view and later head to Ackerman Union for a no-host lunchtime discussion.
