Aaron Nigel Smith leads a spirited performance of infectious beats and soulful singing that will have you dancing in the aisles. Combining reggae, funk and soul with African and Caribbean folk music, Smith will take you on a lively sonic journey through music and movement.

Preshow Activity: the County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation, Natural Areas Division will bring its Nature in Your Backyard program to the Ford. Through art activities and rescued live animals, families will learn about southern California’s indigenous flora and fauna.

Rooted in the traditional and contemporary dances of Bahia, Brazil, the company’s work embodies this culture’s beautiful and mythic stories, complete with colorful costuming and an energetic troupe of dancers, drummers and singers.

Preshow Activity: Connect with LA Nature! Join naturalists and educators from the Natural History Museum to explore local plants and animals through hands-on activities. Together we will create nature journals, look for lizards and catch and identify insects. Put your nature eyes on and become a citizen scientist!

L.A. Jewish Symphony Celebrates 20 Years with "Hershey Felder in Concert

In celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS) presents Hershey Felder in Concert. An award winning actor, pianist, playwright, producer and composer, Felder will debut the world premiere of an overture composed for LAJS, under the baton of artistic director/conductor Dr. Noreen Green. The concert will also feature Felder’s concerto for piano and orchestra Aliyah, celebrating the creation of the State of Israel, as well as excerpts from Felder’s one man show George Gershwin Alone and a performance of Gershwin’s beloved Rhapsody in Blue.
