Prong is an American metal band formed in 1986. Founded by singer/guitarist Tommy Victor who was a sound man for the famous club CBGB and bassist Mike Kirkland (doorman at CBGB’s). Ex-Swans drummer Ted Parsons joined a few months later. Prong released an EP Primitive Origins and an album Force Fed that were noted for their brutal hardcore punk sound. The recordings were released on Southern Records in the U.K. and Europe in the late 1980s. Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor all cite Prong as an influence to their musical style. Slaughter & the Dogs are an English punk rock band that formed in the mid 1970s in Manchester, England. They were one of the first punk rock bands in North West England. They supported the Sex Pistols at their now-legendary gig at Manchester Lesser Free Trade Hall on 20 July 1976. This concert, more than any other single event, spawned Manchester’s punk scene.
