In light of the recently declared drought in California and in response to the request to consumers by water agencies throughout the State to reduce water consumption by 20%, this year’s event will place a special emphasis on water conservation.

Take this opportunity to learn more about what steps you can take to live and work in a more environmentally friendly manner. Join us at Metropolitan’s 7th annual Spring Green Expo at our Headquarters building, adjacent to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. This unique one-day educational event has something for everyone! You can spend an hour or stay for the day. This year’s Expo will feature:

“Green” exhibits highlighting technology, products, services and programs
ECO Innovators Showcase, highlighting sustainability projects created by Southern California college students
Workshops on informative and timely water conservation/efficiency
Photo exhibit in recognition of Water Awareness Month

Consider traveling "green" to the Expo - public transportation to Metropolitan includes bus, Amtrak, Metrolink and light-rail.

Vendors: Participate with Metropolitan in this unique one-day educational event. There is no Vendor registration fee and onsite parking and lunch are provided at no cost.
Students: Submit sustainability projects for exhibit consideration at the Expo.

The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Zouk Congress Festival will take place May 1-5 2014, on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The Los Angeles Zouk Congress Festival, the first of its kind in the United States, celebrates Zouk-Lambada, a Brazilian dance based on/or evolved from the lambada dance style, and is typically danced to zouk, a Caribbean style of music. There will be classes and workshops taught by the best teachers in the world, performances, competitions, awards, dinners and special events and soirées.
