Why Did You Sleep With So Many Human People?

Pollution Studios

3239 Union Pacific Avenue, Los Angeles, 90023

8:00pm

Why do we love what we love? Four new provocative short plays written and directed by Los Angeles playwrights (including three members of Northwestern's MFA in Writing for the Screen & Stage) explore this theme and others in this idiosyncratic festival. Taking place in the Trade City Pop Wagon on Friday August 29th and Saturday August 30th at 8PM at Pollution Studios, these four plays were written by bold new voices in the theater. Blending the classic practice of the pageant wagon with the contemporary hipness of a commercial warehouse, this will be a unique theatrical experience. The cast includes some wonderful L.A. actors, including Jake Weary (“Fred the Show”, Cannes/TIFF-contender It Follows), McCready Baker (“Justified”), and Julian Evens (“Southland”). There will also be a party after both shows, highlighting the communal and celebratory nature of theater.

Playwrights: Will Arbery, Mara De La Rosa, Mariana Morgon, Sofya Weitz
Actors: Jake Weary, McCready Baker, Julian Evens, Ted Jonas, Whitney Montgomery, Lola Kelly, Kestrel Leah, Robyn Littleworth, Mariana Morgon, Juan Amador, and Jenn Kirk
