Create your own scenic art, in the following workshops—you can even make a compass!

Maps and Compasses with artist Marianne Sadowski

Make a compass and add it to a map of the United States during the 19th century. Participants will make the map their own work by adding their own drawings.

Finding Your Direction with artist Delia DeVer

Working with images from the exhibition, participants will arrange two images side by side, then add color and texture with oil pastels.  

Your Future Landscape with artist Gloria Westcott

Imagine and then draw the landscape you envision for the future.

Toddler Tarp with artist Hannah Cassell

Artists five years old and younger will make their own landscape thaumatrope using collage materials and watercolor pencils.

While you're here, cruise on over to BCAM to see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II, which is in action every Sunday at the following times: 10:30–11:30 am; 12:30–1:30 pm; 2:30–3:30 pm; 4:30–5:30 pm.
