(2/3) Japan’s premier drumming ensemble returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall with breathtaking physicality in a show featuring classical and modern elements of this percussion art form.

Come for: A glimpse of a global phenemonon. Kodo explores the unlimited possibilities of the traditional Japanese taiko drum. The word “kodo” can mean either “heartbeat,” the primal source of all rhythm, or “children of the drum.” Since its debut in 1981, the group has given over 3700 performances around the world.
