See a Light Show Before “Inside Out”

El Capitan Theatre

6838 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear , Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life.  This new Pixar movie is a delight for parents and kids (how often is that true?) and is bound to be an instant classic.  See it a the classic Disney theater, the El Capitan, and before each showing catch the all new stage show, “The Magic of Light.”

Elizabeth Marks presents father's story of Survival, Zaven's Destiny

Abril Bookstore

415 E Broadway #102, Glendale, 91205

Abril Bookstore cordially invites you to meet ELIZABETH MARKS, author of the newly released book presenting her father's story of survival, ZAVEN'S DESTINY. Introduced by LEW STOWERS. Wine and Cheese Reception to follow.
ZAVEN'S DESTINY thrusts us into the flesh and blood realities of an event too often overlooked or minimized. It propels us into the heart and mind of a true hero and shows how the worst of times can bring out the best in us. Zaven’s whole world collapsed with the Armenian genocide. Amazingly, Zaven did not collapse along with it. Instead, he defied the odds, sacrificed personal safety and prosperity, and stood up for his people
ELIZABETH MARKS (MARGOSIAN) grew up in an Armenian community in Watertown, Massachusetts. Years after her father died, she learned of an unpublished manuscript and determined it was largely the story of her father’s life. She set out to validate what she read through family interviews and historical documentation. Completing the manuscript became a labor of love and a re-discovery of the father she hadn’t really known but learned to respect and cherish. Elizabeth lives with her husband in Los Angeles and is a principal in a global consulting firm.
