THERE IS ONLY THE EARTH is a beautiful and loving portrait of the global Armenian community captured in joyful detail by an exceptional photographer—highlighting this ancient community's strength, versatility, and ability to survive. The book contains more than 160 photographs. SCOUT TUFANKJIAN is a photographer best known for her work documenting the Barack Obama campaigns. She has spent the bulk of her career working in the Middle East, including four years working in the Gaza Strip and extensive time in Egypt documenting the Egyptian Revolution and its aftermath. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and their dog, Noushig the Shounig.

"The Savages" is a 20 minute documentary by Alan Gorg featuring the changing neighborhood of Oakwood (in the Venice area) in the 1960s. Following in a similar note, "Lost Angels" is a feature length documentary featuring the community of Skid Row and, more specifically, 6 individuals who have been long-time residents of Skid Row. Come join us for a night of reflection on the changing communities of Los Angeles and the stories of a vibrant but silenced communities.

Capturing Grace - a special screening of the award winning documentary

"Capturing Grace" tells the remarkable story of what happens when New York's legendary Mark Morris Dance Group joins forces with people with Parkinson's disease to stage a unique performance. Filmed over the course of a year, it's a story about the power of art and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

This special screening will bring awareness and help raise funds for the free, Healing Movement dance classes offered at the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, CA for Dancing with Parkinson’s, Stroke Recovery, Dancing Through Cancer and Dancing with Down Syndrome.

The evening will commence with a live performance of the BACH CELLO SUITES by the Lineage Dance Company and a screening of the uplifting short film, MARY ANNE – a dance for camera that features Mary Anne Moses, a Pasadena resident who participates in the Lineage’s Dancing with Parkinson’s class.
