August's 626 Night Market

Santa Anita Race Track

285 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA

4:00pm to 10:00pm

The 626 Night Market will be back at Santa Anita Park with Summer Garden Nights on  August 3 & 4. The event will move from Santa Anita’s Infield area to the track’s picturesque Paddock Gardens area on the south side of the Grandstand. Parking will be free with admission of $2 from 4PM-6PM and $3 after 6PM. Children aged 12 years and under are free. Event hours are 4PM to 12AM on Saturdays and 4PM to 10PM on Sundays.

Santa Anita’s Paddock Gardens will be transformed to accommodate the largest Asian night market in the U.S., featuring over 80 Asian street food vendors, 70 local merchandise vendors, beer & spirits, performance artists, live DJ’s, dancing, concerts, films, and children’s activities. The 626 Night Market staff has spent the last several months searching through Southern California and Asia for interesting foods and entertainment to bring to the night market. In 2012, the 626 Night Market’s first year of producing events, more than 100,000 people turned out, generating millions of dollars in transactions for vendors and local economies.

The new Paddock Gardens location will provide a dramatic environment for the continued evolution of L.A.’s only Asian night market. Customers will now be able to enjoy cold beer and spirits on hot summer nights at Santa Anita’s Sironas terrace bar that overlooks the night market in the garden. There will be a stage in the middle of the Paddock Gardens for live performances with giant video boards for everyone to enjoy. More food and retail vendors will be located in a long alley right outside of the Paddock Gardens area. This one-of-a-kind paddock location provides customers with easy access to the event with parking entrances right off of Huntington Drive.

“We are ecstatic to have this year’s events in the crown jewel of Santa Anita, the Paddock Gardens. The beautiful garden setting, expansive terrace bar, formal stage, and alley setup will be a unique combination that defines our event: an Asian night market in Los Angeles,” said Jonny C. Hwang, Founder of the 626 Night Market. “We plan to fully utilize the new location to continue to be a platform for local businesses, emerging entrepreneurs, and now a place to showcase local artistic talent.”

“The 626 Night Market provides an exciting demographic to us here at Santa Anita,” said George Haines, Santa Anita President and General Manager. “This event was a great success last year in the Infield and we think it’s going to be even better in our Paddock Gardens area. Santa Anita is happy to participate in this dynamic new community event which will showcase our beautiful grounds to a large group of new visitors.”

The 626 Night Market is now accepting vendor and performance artist applications. FIAT returns as a Presenting Sponsor with their fresh and popular line of European automobiles.
