BWW Reviews: THE AMAZING BUBBLE MAN Creates a Magical World for Kids of All Ages

By Shari Barrett

Pearl started his show asking everyone, “Who wants to float around in a magic bubble?” and I freely admit to raising my hand along with most of the other audience members. In addition to exploring the impressive dynamics of bubbles, his show combined comedy and artistry, with plenty of audience participation, especially from the many enthusiastic kids willing to run up onstage and be part of his act.

Bubble tricks performed included square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, tornadoes and trampolines, to kids inside bubbles, all of which generated shrieks of laughter and gasps of amazement from audience members of all ages.

Pearl also demonstrated that you can make bubbles using almost any object, even a $5 bill or an empty water bottle provided by audience members. An expert with improv, Pearl’s spunky sense of humor was especially evident when a woman in the front row was asked what made him so special. But watch out – anyone caught yawning during the show gets squirted in the face by a water gun, which Pearl finally turned on himself to the squeals of the audience.

Then grab the kids and be ready to become one yourself in a room filled with bubbles and wonder!bubbleman live1
