LAX is the fifth busiest passenger airport in the world, with more than 55 million people passing through every year. Approximately 80 passenger carriers (including all major airlines) serve LAX.

LAX has nine passenger terminals connected by a U-shaped, two-level roadway. Domestic flights arrive and depart from Terminals 1-8 All international flights arrive and depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Curbside baggage check-in is available on the upper departure level. Baggage claim is on the lower level.

A vast variety of restaurants, cocktail lounges, gift shops, newsstands, restrooms, public telephones, business centers and duty free shops for international flights offer convenient services within the airport.

Parking
More than 21,144 parking spaces are available with valet parking available across from Terminals 4 and 6. Free shuttle service to airline terminals is provided every 10-15 minutes around the clock from Lots B and C. Perimeter parking Lot C, northeast of the airport, also contains the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Bus Center, which connects public bus systems with the courtesy LAX shuttle bus service provided by the airport.

Among the modes of transportation available at LAX are airport bus service, door-to-door shuttle van service, local bus lines, light rail, rental cars and taxicabs. A free, frequent shuttle bus connects LAX with Metro Transit Authority's Green Line Light Rail. Shuttle service is provided at no charge for passengers making connecting flights between terminal buildings.

FlyAway
The FlyAway Bus Service provides frequent, nonstop transportation between LAX, Downtown and the San Fernando Valley. Tickets can be purchased from the FlyAway kiosk at Union Station’s Patsaouras terminal or the Van Nuys FlyAway. Remote baggage check-in and boarding passes are available.

FlyAway departs from Union Station and LAX every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., and each hour from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. FlyAway buses run 24 hours a day. From the San Fernando Valley, the FlyAway service runs between VNY and LAX 24 hours a day, with 30-minute departures between 4:45 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. and hourly service from midnight to 4:30 a.m. For more information, visit www.lawa.org/flyaway.
