Public Transit

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) transports passengers via subway trains, light rail and buses. Metro Rail is LA’s rapid transit rail system, with six lines serving 80 stations across LA County. Metro Rail connects Downtown LA, Hollywood, Westside, Culver City, the San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, East LA, the Beach Cities and Long Beach. Los Angeles is known for its car culture, but its bike paths welcome a growing number of bicyclists. To help bicyclists explore LA, Metro offers options for riding on the Metro Rail and bus.
