On Friday, June 27, 2014, the Living Room at W Los Angeles – Westwood will be transformed into an art space, displaying the work of Tiphanie Brooke, aka antigirl. Hailing from Southern California, Brooke is an award-winning artist and graphic designer, with a repertoire that includes screen printing, photography, typography, printmaking, illustration and painting. The antigirl installation is scheduled to be on display through July 2014.
Brooke and Mike Polson - her partner and collaborator of antigirl and brooke & one - show their love for the City of Angels with the Heart of Los Angeles. Initially designed by Brooke as a sort of response to Milton Glaser’s famous I Heart New York logo from 1977, the Heart of L.A. is quickly becoming an urban art icon. The hearts can be spotted from Downtown L.A. to the Westside.
On the opening night of the antigirl installation, guests were invited to explore the artwork, enjoy small bites provided by Executive Chef Dakota Weiss, and sip on handcrafted cocktails from the hotel’s lounge area, Whiskey Blue. DJ Kid Gusto provided the beats throughout the evening.
Situated between Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, and Century City, the W Los Angeles – Westwood is a AAA Four Diamond Award-winning hotel that appeals to trend-setters from near and far with stylish accommodations, dining, and cocktail culture.
