Few cities cater to the teenage shopper better than Los Angeles, especially when it comes to teens who know truly cool styles are hard to come by. Luckily, LA makes teen shopping easy. These stores and boutiques cater to fashions ranging from funky to vintage, perfect for the teen visitor who wants to go home with a look that’s uniquely LA, especially since pop culture icons like Miley Cyrus and Lauren Conrad have been spotted at many of these stores.
Encompassing 90 blocks of Downtown LA, the Fashion District is the shopping destination for teenagers who embrace the trendsetter role. Shoppers find fashions here before they ever hit the runway. Start at Santee Alley, located between Santee Street and Maple Avenue, an open-air bazaar-style market that features great bargains on accessories, jewelry and handbags. There's more to the Fashion District than Santee Alley. For more detailed information, check out our Insider Tips on the Fashion District.

Venture into the delightfully macabre interior of Dark Delicacies, a popular spot for young adults. Husband-wife team Del and Sue Howison stock their little shop of horrors with a great selection of classic horror novels, DVDs, toys, clothing and collectibles. Aficionados come here for rare and hard-to-find items, as well as the store’s healthy lineup of book and DVD signing events. Even visitors who are easily spooked will find something to love in this shop, be it an Evil Dead T-shirt or some truly sinister jewelry.
