Founded more than 12 years ago, the Los Angeles Travel and Tourism Education Foundation was established to encourage inner-city school students to seek
careers in the hospitality industry.
Three Students Awarded Scholarships

At this year’s Academy of Business and Tourism graduation ceremonies, LATTEF scholarships were presented to three students from Miguel Contreras Learning Complex in Downtown LA for their outstanding academic achievements:

Attending the University of California, Riverside
Gabriel Garcia
Attending the University of California, Santa Cruz
Nathalie Moreira, the top-ranked student, attended the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) Convention in Seattle and was awarded the George D. Kirkland Memorial Scholarship, funded by DMAI in honor of the former president of LA Tourism.
