The LINE LA



Check in to your room at The Line Hotel, one of the hottest hotels in Los Angeles. 9 a.m. - Go Get 'Em Tiger



If you don’t head to The Commissary for breakfast, start off your morning in Larchmont Village at Go Get ‘Em Tiger, where they serve stellar coffee and breakfast. Enjoy it all within the canary yellow, naturally-lit setting of the wood-ensconced shop before taking a stroll through Larchmont Village. If you’re visiting on a Sunday morning, browse the farmer’s market across the street for some locally grown produce and more.

10 a.m. - Griffith Park Trails



Now that you're fueled up, head north and hike one of the many Griffith Park trails, where you'll enjoy panoramic city views or a close-up of the iconic Hollywood Sign. Loop the three-mile Runyon Canyon trail or take a short hike to Bronson Canyon, where you'll find the famous Bat Cave from the classic Batman TV series. During this romantic interlude, you’ll both enjoy this little morning escape from the city while being perched above it.

Noon: Griffith Observatory



After your hike, visit the landmark Griffith Observatory, one of L.A.’s most popular cultural attractions. Though there is a small fee for shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, admission to Griffith Observatory is free, so you can explore the sights, whether it’s the spectacular displays inside or the James Dean bust outside, which commemorates Rebel Without a Cause filming at the Observatory.

Big Bar

Lunch: Alcove Cafe & Big Bar



The Alcove/Big Bar Now that you’ve explored the stars, return to earth and head down the hill to The Alcove Cafe, a Los Feliz favorite that offers American fare on a picturesque patio lined with trellises, foliage and a lively atmosphere. The cocktails from the adjacent Big Bar are delicious, so you can wash down your lunch in good fashion.

2 p.m. - Echo Park Lake



After lunch, head to Echo Park Lake, where you can rent a paddleboat, canoe or gondola for a modest fee and length of time. You can also take a leisurely stroll around the lake for maximum appreciation of the gorgeous L.A. weather and city views.

3 p.m. - LACMA



For art lovers, it doesn’t get any better than an afternoon at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the largest art museum in the western United States. With a collection that includes more than 120,000 objects dating from antiquity to the present, it’s easy to get lost in exhibits that encompass the geographic world and nearly the entire history of art.
