Discover Los Angeles

The annual LA PRIDE celebration welcomes over 500,000 people each year to West Hollywood. Taking place June 6-8, 2014, the festival continues to be a major focus for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) pride in the greater Los Angeles area. The 44th annual event is being billed as a “TLGB Celebration,” to reflect this year’s focus on transgender issues. LA PRIDE is produced by Christopher Street West, a non-profit service organization composed of volunteers committed to the goals of human rights, education, outreach, and better understanding within and outside the LGBT community. The Sunset Strip, a stretch of Sunset Boulevard between Crescent Heights Boulevard and Doheny Drive, is one of LA’s most iconic neighborhoods. It was the setting for counterculture protests in the 1960s, rock and roll decadence in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and it exists today as a showcase for the good life, providing elegant hotel rooms, live music venues and fine restaurants.
